Our commitment to sustainabile floristry

Sustainability is at the heart of everything we do. From sourcing locally grown flowers to repurposing blooms, we’re committed to reducing our environmental impact and creating a greener future.

Discover how we’re making a difference, one flower at a time.

  • Cherry in a field of cornflowers

During the warmer months, 80% of our flowers are grown right here in Matakana, reducing the carbon footprint associated with long-distance transportation and supporting local, sustainable farming practices.

  • Sustainable flower mechanics

We use non-plastic floristry mechanics whenever possible, helping to reduce plastic waste and promote more eco-friendly, biodegradable alternatives in our arrangements.

  • Composting fresh flower waste

We compost all of our green waste, turning it into nutrient-rich soil that supports local gardens and reduces landfill waste.

  • Two fresh flower bouquet in front of an electric delivery vehicle

We hand-deliver in electric vehicles, reducing carbon emissions and contributing to a cleaner, more sustainable environment.

  • Lady holding a fresh flower bouquet

We dry (and reuse) or donate flowers that are too old to sell, helping to reduce waste and give new life to blooms that would otherwise be discarded.

  • Helium balloon with a cross through it

We don't use balloons or glitter, minimizing plastic waste and ensuring our creations are environmentally friendly and biodegradable.

  • Small jar of fresh flowers

We repackage and sell all of our broken flower stems and short offcuts, giving them a second life and reducing waste while offering customers affordable, beautiful blooms.

  • Sustainable fresh flower packaging

We buy from New Zealand growers who use sustainable packaging whenever possible, supporting eco-conscious practices and reducing the environmental impact of our floral supply chain.

  • Sustainable fresh flower wrap

We use environmentally friendly packaging to wrap our bouquets, plants, and gifts, ensuring a sustainable and eco-conscious approach to every delivery.

  • Natural wedding confetti made from dried rose petals

We use natural confetti for weddings and funerals, offering an eco-friendly alternative that is biodegradable and aligns with our commitment to sustainability.

  • Imported roses with a cross through them

We don't buy imported roses because they may contain hazardous chemical residues, they have a short vase life and a large carbon footprint.

  • Close up of the recycle symbol on cardboard

We recycle all of our cardboard, helping to reduce waste and support the reuse of materials in a sustainable, eco-friendly way.
