Where do you deliver?

We deliver from Puhoi to Mangawhai and everywhere in between. See our delivery zone map for more detail and delivery costs.

When will my order be delivered?

We hand deliver Monday to Saturday from 2–7 pm.

We don't use couriers so our flowers arrive in great condition.

The delivery order is determined by the delivery person based on the orders for each day so it's difficult for us to give you an exact delivery time.

If you require a specific delivery time please arrange this 24 hours in advance by calling the shop and we will do our best to accomodate you.

If you have ordered through our online shop you will receive an email notification when your order has been delivered.

What happens if nobody is home when you deliver?

Our fresh flower bouquets are carefully water-wrapped with compostable bags, keeping them hydrated for up to 24 hours.

Fresh flowers in vases are delivered with water included.

If no one is home at the time of delivery, we’ll leave the flowers in a safe, shaded spot. If we have any concerns, or can't access a property because of. a locked gate we’ll call you or the recipient, or return the delivery to the studio to arrange a pick-up time.

What if I can't pick-up before you close?

We offer free pick-ups from our Matakana store between 2 and 4 PM.

If you need to pick up your order earlier than 2 PM, please call us at least 24 hours in advance on 021 246 5466, and we’ll do our best to accommodate you.

If you can’t make it by 4 PM, just let us know, and we’ll leave your order with our friends at Matakana Cinema, right next door as they are open until late.

I'm having trouble checking out on your website.

If you're having trouble at checkout, it’s often due to one of these reasons:

  1. Out of Delivery Zone: Check our delivery zone map to ensure we deliver to your area.
  2. Minimum Order Not Met: We require a $70 minimum for deliveries, and your cart total may not meet this.
  3. Non-Delivery Day: You’ve selected a day we don’t deliver, such as Sunday.
  4. Fully Booked: Our delivery slots for your chosen day may already be full.

If you've checked these things and continue to have issues please call 021 246 5466

Why are flowers from a florist expensive?

Florists source high-quality, fresh blooms from trusted suppliers, often local growers. They invest in skilled craftsmanship to create unique, bespoke arrangements, and their prices reflect the overhead costs of running a business, including shop rent, staff wages, and the expertise involved. While supermarkets and roadside stalls may offer lower prices, they typically provide standard bunches without the same care, attention to detail, or personalised service that florists offer.

How do I care for my flowers?

Some flowers last a day, some last 3 weeks. Even within species, there can be big differences in vase life among types and cultivars.

These tips will keep them looking their best for 4-7 days once you get them home:

  • Clean your vase to remove any bacteria or fungi that might ruin your flowers.
  • Use warm water and let it sit for a few minutes so all the air bubbles can escape.
  • Cut the stems at a 45-degree angle, under running water if possible. This creates a wide opening to the xylem (where the flowers drink up water) and keeps air bubbles to a minimum so they don't block the water pathways.
  • Keep away from fruit. Fruits produce ethylene, which tells a plant to ripen, and that will shorten the life span of your flowers.
  • Place in a cool position. If you're leaving the house for a day or two, you can put your flowers in the fridge (away from fruit). The cold reduces microbial growth and the metabolic rate of your flowers, extending their life!
  • Keep away from direct sunlight, drafts and air-conditioning.
  • Maintain adequate water levels and change the water completely every two days and recut the stems.

What flowers are in season?

We have created this handy table to show you what's in season.

What if I'm unhappy with my order?

We value constructive criticism as this helps us improve.

And of course we're only human so sometimes mistakes are made. We also don't grow our flowers so occasionally there can be an issue at the growers end.

Please get in touch with us through the contact form or by calling the shop so we can talk through your issue and how we can make it right.

Can I order and pay from overseas?

You can order flowers anytime from anywhere in the world on this website!  It's very clever.

Where can I get a GST receipt?

If you ordered through our online shop, the order confirmation is your GST receipt.

If you ordered over the phone please contact us.

If you can't find the answer to your question and it's about an existing order please use the chat function (bottom right).

If it's a general enquiry and isn't time sensitive please send us an email through our contact form, but please note that we don't take orders via email.
